CARBON EMISSION LIMITS Local Law 97/147
(as amended by Local Law 147 of 2019): Requires buildings to adhere to energy efficiency standards and meet greenhouse gas emission limits by 2024. As part of the Climate Mobilization Act, Local Law 97/147 is intended to play a pivotal role in the City’s mission to reduce 40% of GHG emissions produced by covered buildings by 2030 and 80% of city-wide emissions by 2050 (80×50).
