CUNY BPL was founded in 2006 by Michael Bobker, working with the CUNY Institute of Urban Systems. It’s something of an understatement to say we’ve grown quite a bit since then.
As of 2021, Honey Berk has assumed the role of Executive Director of CUNY BPL, while Michael Bobker has become Founding Director. Our Training Department alone has 12 full-time senior and junior staff members and 15-20 interns at a time. When including staff from our other departments, those numbers more than double.
